I ran into the dreaded out of sync audio issue.
I detached the audio and re-sync'd it, but then there were other cuts and snips to make. With the audio detached, that made editing twice as much of a pain.
So I just scrapped it.
Maybe I'll try again...another time....
The gist of what we talked about in the video:
This past month has been fun, but exhausting. A lot of Mamma and Gabe time (who am I kidding? That's all day, every day--no breaks.), which has gotten rather exhausting. No adult interaction all day can kinda make you go a little crazy. I miss McKay. He has been gone all month, but I get him back this Saturday! So excited!!
We recently went in for a 3D/4D ultrasound of baby Eva. I told Gabriel that we were going to see his baby sister on a screen and he was really excited about it. When we got started, though, he was totally freaked out. Because of the orangey color of the ultrasound, he thought it was fire. He kept saying "Oh no! Fire!! It's fire in your tummy, mommy! Eva is in the fire!" Nothing we said would reassure him. He was convinced. It was actually pretty funny. Here are some shots and a video of the u/s, if you're interested!
Things continue to look great with the pregnancy. Other than being pretty tired, I'm feeling really good. I will be 29 weeks along as of tomorrow. I can't believe how fast it's going! It's still going to be a long, hot summer though...
When McKay gets back home, things should start to pick up. July is a busy month for us (hallelujah!) so that's nice.
Oh! I'm getting a baby shower! Cool, right?? This is my second baby, so I didn't think I would be getting one this time around. BUT...I didn't really get one with Gabriel. Right around 8 months, I moved to another state where no one knew me. I just had to buy all of my baby stuff, which was fine, but a baby shower would have been fun. The ladies at church sort of had a shower for me after Gabe was born, but it was a little awkward since I didn't really know them and they didn't know me. And besides--I already had all of my baby stuff. It was really sweet of them. One lady brought pink and purple girl stuff....*cough*...
Anyway--I had to get rid of all my baby stuff before moving back to the mainland. So yes--this IS my second baby--but I literally have NO baby stuff. At all. I have to re-buy everything. My mom and mother in law decided to throw a baby shower for me, and I am really excited to have one this time around!
I have had the crazy nesting urges for a while, so I can't wait for the shower so I can go out and get whatever is left over. I really want to get everything prepped and ready...even though I've still got a good 10-11 weeks to go (depending on whether they induce me, but that's for another post).
Trying to remember what else we touched on in the video-that-shall-never-see-the-light-of-youtube...oh well.
Until next time, folks!
