ASK A....

There are people all around you that are doing, or have done extraordinary, interesting, amazing things. Some are dealing with unimaginable struggles. Others are accomplishing great feats. All of them have and are still overcoming great obstacles.

I want to tell their stories. I want to build awareness. I want to spread the word. I want people to be more tolerant, more informed, and more respectful.

So...I decided to start a new monthly feature called "Ask a..." where I'll get into, through, and beyond real people, their lives, what they DO, and what they BELIEVE. I have a handful of people that I have already contacted that I will be featuring. I would LOVE it if you, the readers, have any suggestions. Who do you want to hear from? What do you want to know more about? I guarantee you know somebody extraordinary. You might not realize it, and they probably don't know it or claim to be so either. If you know somebody (maybe even yourself) that you would like to be featured, please email me with information to get in touch with them! (With their permission, of course.)

I am so excited to start this! It will run every month on the third Wednesday of the month, which means next week on the 19th is my first Ask A feature! I hope everyone is on board, because this is really going to be great. Like I said before, I already have a few people lined up and we're just going to dive right into it with my first guest. She is a very dear friend of mine that I feel absolutely honored and blessed to have met some years ago. Her guest spot will be:

Ask A [two-time!] Cancer Survivor

I have already asked her too many questions for her guest spot, but please PLEASE let me know if you have any last minute questions you would like for me to ask her. I am so grateful to her for agreeing to be a guest on Mrs. Rogers' Neighborhood for a day - she is truly an amazing woman.

P.S. After some frustrating technical difficulties, I FINALLY completed the finishing touches for my Swapoween package!! Yaaayy!! I will be mailing it out tomorrow. I can't wait to see what my swap partner thinks of the goodies I'm sending! But I'm also kind of nervous--this is my first swap, and what if I totally borked it? I guess we'll see.... Kristin already mailed out her package to me LAST WEEK. What. A show-off. (HA! Just kidding K.K. - you're awesome!)
