This week has been eventful....
Tuesday: You already heard about it, but I must say again--I love Isaac Hayden's work! There was one thing that I didn't mention: I found out that Jason drank that night. And now I'm done. I love the guy to death. He's an awesome person and a great friend and I really like him, but I can' put myself through that again. It's not like he drinks all the time--almost never, but I still....no.....
Wednesday: The show was at Starry Night--not Muse. These Green Eyes, Volition, Monty, and Side Dish all played. I ended up taking pictures for all of them. It was a great show and I had tons of fun. I made friends with the guys from Side Dish (mostly just Kevin (drummer) and Ryan (lead singer/guitarist)) and they asked if I would take pictures again at the Inferno show at UVSC, so I agreed. Another Wednesday topic--McKay and I flirted all night. It was fun. I have liked McKay since August when I first met Volition, but I was kinda dating Neil at the time, so....yeah.....
Thursday: Ugh....Thursday....Well, I did my comedy that night. Austin, Kris, McKay, and Todd all came to see me, which was really cool of them. I made a bad decision and decided to do a bit that isn't as funny as it should be if it isn't finished. It's funny throughout...sorta...but if you don't hear the whole thing it's really just....eh....and I didnt' get to finish it because I got lit too soon. But I'll get to do the whole thing next week. We went to IHOP after the show and hung out with the headliner, Tim Young. He was really cool and SO hilarious.
Friday: Wow....Friday....well, I went to UVSC early so that I could watch Side Dish compete in the battle of the bands (BOTB was separate from the Inferno show). They did really well, but only got 3rd place, which was total crap, but at least they placed. Then I headed over the the McKay Events Center and met up with Volition and the other bands. When we all got to where they were supposed to play, all that was set up was the stage. That's it. No PA, no speakers, no mics, NOTHING. It was so retarded. What made things worse was the fact that the only thing separating us from the hip hop dance floor was a curtain. Uhh.....was someone in the planning process drugged or perhaps retarded? I think so. There was no way that we were going to be able to compete with that sound. It was insane. So a lot of the bands got pissed and walked. Volition and Elliott's Assassin stuck it out and worked together to figure out how to make it work. Side Dish even showed up to help out and play, which was really cool of them. So they all got together and rounded up mics, speakers, a PA, and everything else that they needed that wasn't provided for them--which was a lot. We crossed our fingers and started the show....It was AWESOME. You couldn't even hear the hip hop stuff. We were so surprized because we had a sound guy from Berkley (Dallan) there that told us there was no freaking way we would even be able to compete with it, and the show ended up being a million times more than what we thought it would be. We were totally stoked. We didn't get out of there until 3:30 though, so we were dead. McKay likes me, I think. This was proved by the fact that he kissed me at the end of the night.....
Saturday: I (reluctantly) woke up and watched conference. I was so dead tired, though, so I don't know how much I got out of it. After conference, I showered and got ready for the second round of Inferno madness. I picked up Flower (one of the Side Dish girls (a fan/roadie/groupie/don't know what to call her. She's really cool. We met at the SN show and became friends.) on the way and we did it all over again. EA and Volition were kind of upset because some of the bands that walked the night before heard that it went well and came back to play the second night, which, to them, was disrespectful and contradictory. The Trademark and Allred were the ones that came back. It turned out being yet another really good show. I hung out with Jessie that night. That was cool--I haven't seen her since all of the Dan/apartment drama. After the show (which got over at midnight---hahahaha. that's because it was the "highschool" night) we all went to Village Inn and then went home.
There--now you're all caught up!! That is, if you didn't give up in the middle of this insanely long post...
