Okay, so two days ago was pretty much one of the worst days I have had in a long time. Work was horrible. Everything that could have gone wrong, did. Angry customers, refusals, walk outs, TOTALLY packed, wrong orders--everything. And amongst all of this, I was going to refil everyone's coffee and then went to put the pot back, right? Well, on my way back it barely tapped the corner of the bar and shattered because it was so hot. So there was glass and coffee everywhere. My managaer knew that I was crazy busy and that I was about to go nuts. Then she heard the pot break and asked what it was. I told her and she had Synthia (utilities girl) come clean it up. Then Meadow (my boss) came and asked me if I was alright. -I'm just trying not to cry at this point.- "What?" -I'm want to just crawl in a hole right now.- And then it happened. It never happens--I NEVER do it!! I CRIED. I couldn't even help it. The tears just started flowing. Meadow told me that she would take over the lounge (the part of the restaurant that I was working--BY MYSELF, might I add. Well no--on top of all of the crap, I was training a new girl...as if things weren't stressful enough....) and for me to go take a break. So I went and freaked out (cried) in the break room. I talked to Neil and he was really sweet and made me feel a little better. I told him I would call him after work and then went back to the lounge. So I finished the day and went out to my car. Before leaving, I called Neil and talked to him for a bit, right? Well, after I got of the phone with him I went to start my car and it was dead. Apparently I had left my headlights on that morning. Great. So I called my grandpa because he lives close by. The first three times I tried calling him, the call failed for some reason. The next time I tried, I got his voicemail and same with my grandma. Okay--it's just one thing after another after another. So I went back into work and asked both of my managers and pretty much everyone else that worked there if the had jumper cables, and no one did. Finally, the line cook, Travis, told me he could help me out. So he goes out and jumps me and then goes back inside. Right as I went to drive away, my car died again. Aaaaarrrrrrgggghhhh!!! So he had to come BACK out and jump me again and I left before anything else could go wrong.
Neil took me to a movie that night, which was really sweet of him. We went and saw The Four Brothers - which was really good, by the way. After the movie we talked for like two hours and then we both went home because we had to work the next morning.
So I had a really bad day, but it ended really nicely.
