I gave blood today--IN RECORD TIME!! Normally it takes me about 15 minutes (give or take a few) to fill the whole pint. But this time it only took me eight!! Woot! It was just FLOWIN! Ow ow! I am awesome, my friends. Now I have a hole in my arm though....that sucks...
I went and saw my third grade teacher today. Mr Mendenhall. He was SO awesome. I miss having him. He's still cool. He published a few of the poems that I wrote in third and fourth grade in a classroom book. When I showed up after lunch to visit, he had me read his favorite poem of mine. Hahaha. It was great. Alla the kids were asking me questions and they were all excited and it was way fun. I get to go up and do wilderness school with Rees this year. They go up to Shadow Mountain and the kids learn about nature and they to team building, leadership, and problem solving activities. It's really a lot of fun. I can't wait. I haven't been up there since I was in elementary. I'm so excited!!
The closer I get to graduation, the more weirded out I get. I keep saying that I'm excited to get out of the high school and move on to real life. That's true, but it's so much more at the same time. I can't believe that I'm almost done. DONE! Done with what I've been working for my whole life as long as I can remember (pretty much). Of course I'll be moving on to college, but that's a whole different ball game. I'm getting older which means I'll be getting married in a few years. I catch myself looking at ring fingers of cute/nice guys all the time now. I caught myself checkin my phlebotomist's (the guy who drew my blood--in his early 20's) hand today! OMG!! I'm such a freak. I'm happy with where I am in life right now, but I know there's so much more in store for me. I'm trying to enjoy every moment to the last drop while I'm still young, but part of me wants to just cut the crap and fast-forward. I wanna see who I'll be married to! I wanna know what it's like to be a mom! I want to have a career!! And that's the part where I slap myself and focus on the here and now.

P.S. For all of you who played Nintendo as a kid (or still do) and have Quicktime player, this is for you, my friends. If you don't have the quicktime player, get it so you can watch this and catch up with the times, sheesh.
